Retrieve images from the News with a Web browserFrom: bortz@cnam.cnam.fr (Stephane Bortzmeyer) Newsgroups: alt.binaries.pictures.d,comp.infosystems.www Date: 24 Jan 1994 09:33:16 GMTA new service is now fully operational on the Web to get images which were posted on the newsgroups, like alt.binaries.pictures.misc, alt.binaries.pictures.fractals, and alt.binaries.pictures.cartoons.
There is already an excellent server at T.U.Delft doing it, but images can be browsed only by their names. On this server: you can browse "contact sheets" (montages of small tiles) of the images and also "description files" (texts extracted from the original articles).
I would really like to have some partners in other countries to set up an equivalent service. Do not hesitate to email me!
