Ada/Unix Software Developer

My client in Brussels requires a Ada/Unix software developer to work on the production of the software design and development activities, unit and system testing. The selected staff will work in the Software Development Centre (SDC) of the client (in the field of aviation). Other responsibilities include detailed software design, implementation (design, code & test), maintenance, analysing of incidents and correction, participation in test preparation and implementation, writing of documentation and participation in on-call service.

Essential skills include:

• Ada knowledge - Ada 95 in particular.
• Hardware/Platforms: HP/UX, Windows.
• Proven UNIX skills and knowledge of UNIX scripting language.
• Experience with design and implementation of application software using Ada language and OO techniques.
• Being prepared to participate in a third level on-call roster to provide application support.
• Good knowledge of Oracle.
• Proven experience of working on mission critical system, preferably in the ATM domain is a bonus.

Contract length: Long Term - 1 year, extendable to a maximum of 5 years.
