Exam

You will read two recent papers on wavelets and/or wavelet applications. The exam consists of an oral discussion of these papers.
A list of papers will be made available in Toledo. You can also choose papers from previous years on Toledo. Alternatively, and I recommend this option, you may suggest one or two papers yourself. In that case supply a copy to me before the exam and request my approval. The two papers should have sufficiently different topics, but otherwise all papers related to wavelet theory or wavelet applications are admissible.

Project

One third of the marks for this course are based on a project. The project will be made available on Toledo early in the semester. The topic of this year's project will be image compression and processing.

Exercise sessions

The exercises will appear on Toledo after each session. Handouts are given during the exercise sessions.
