Wavelets with applications in signal- and image processing
Software
Here you find the description of the package that is a GUI-clickable
interface to illustrate the concepts of this course.
Requirements:
- You need to have matlab installed.
- You should install WaveLab850.
- Download and unpack the WaCoLab zip archive. (this version 24 Oct. 2007)
- In the WaCoLab directory edit the startup.m file and modify the root paths for WaveLab850 and WaCoLab.
- Execute startup
Once you do that, you can run the following gui-demos:
- FFTvsFWT - illustrating the local/non-local effects of FWT and FFT
- WFTDemo - illustrates the Windowed Fourier transform
- NyquistDemo - illustrates the Nyquist sampling theorem
- WaveletDisplayDemo - displays different wavelets
- RecursionIterateDemo - displays 10 steps in solution of dilation equation by Iteration or Recursion
- Wavelet1DContinuousDemo - illustrates continuous wavelet transform for 1D signals
- Wavelet1DDemo - illustrates the wavelet transform for 1D signals
- Wavelet2DDemo - illustrates the wavelet transform for 2D images
- DenoiseDemo - illustrating the denoisig techniques on 1D signals
- ImageDenoiseDemo - illustrates the wavelet denoising technique for 2D images
- WPCP1DDemo - illustrates the wavelet package technique for 1D signals
This package was written by Olivier Pareit as a master thesis
in Computer Science, July 2007.
